Laureta Vavla is a professor, language teacher, teacher trainer, researcher, consultant, and community activist with more than 18 years of work and community experience in Albania and Canada. She started her professional career as a coordinator in an international NGO, and then she continued as an English Professor and as a Department Chair at the University of Elbasan, Albania. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in English with a concentration in Applied Linguistics and Assessment. Alongside teaching, she has extensively contributed to her community in Albania and in Canada in various capacities working closely with several institutions in the public and NGO sectors.
